TACOMA BAPTIST CHURCH

We are the Mau family, church planters in Tacoma, WA. I grew up in Tacoma, graduating from Henry Foss High school in 1991.

It was in 1997 that God called me to attend Bible college at Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City, OK. I met my future wife Meagan there, and it is also where God gave me the calling for the ministry.

Soon after graduating Bible college, Meagan and I got married in 2001. As we began our life together, the LORD gave us a heart and desire to be missionaries to Cambodia. In 2005, we had the wonderful opportunity of going to Cambodia to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. We started a church near the capital city of Phnom Penh. 

In the fall of 2011, God changed our course and allowed my family to go through a new challenge. Our son Brandon, age 3 at the time, developed a type of cancer in his left eye called retinoblastoma. Because of his condition, we could not remain in Cambodia, and we had to come back to the United States for him to receive the proper medical attention. 

Today we praise the Lord that Brandon is cancer free! Through this challenging time, God has given us a new direction in serving Him. Since 2013, our family has been serving God in Tacoma and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
