Knowing jesus christ
Understand four simple truths about salvation
1) Sin is the breaking of God’s law and sin separates you from God
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God…” — Romans 3:23 KJV
2) Sins penalty must be paid
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” — Romans 6:23 KJV
This is not a physical death, but rather a spiritual death.
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” — Revelation 20:14 KJV
3) Because God loves you, He sent His Son to pay for your sins
“But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8 KJV
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.” — John 3:16-17 KJV
Jesus Christ died on the cross to provide a complete payment for your sins. Then Jesus Christ rose from the dead after the third day to reveal God’s power over sin and death.
4) Heaven is through Jesus Christ alone.
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” — Acts 4:12 KJV
So how can you know Jesus Christ and receive Salvation?
Jesus Christ is alive today, and He desires to save anyone who is willing call upon Him for salvation.
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:9-10, 13 KJV
The good news is you don’t have to wait, you can be saved right now. All you must do is admit you’re a sinner, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ. If you would like to trust Him now, simply pray to Him and ask Him to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to save you now.
Claim the promise of God and receive eternal salvation.
